Hambledon Play Areas
Hambledon Play Areas
The PC is responsible for four areas in the village:
1. Infant/junior play park at Hambledon Village Hall - this underwent a major re-vamp in 2023, following a very long, protracted design and consultation period. A local company, Ava Recreation, was awarded the contract and has delivered a much improved area aimed at toddlers through to end of primary school aged children. The park now boasts a fantastic mutli-faceted play tower, accessible roundabout, re-juvinated swings, springer and tunnel, and a Tigermulch all weather surface with a hopscotch. Lots of children attended the official opening in May, which was kindly officiated by Fred Dinenage MBE.
2. Tarmac swing & ball area at Hambledon Village Hall - this area has recently (July 2023) received some much needed attention in the form of re-painting of the swings, basketball post and ball wall.
3. Play equipment at Stewarts Green - unfortunately, the wooden trim trail equipment on the Green had to be removed in 2022 due to its deteriorating condition. In September 2023 the PC will start to plan its replacement.
4. The football area above the tennis court at the Glebeland - there are currently two football goals here; both of which are in need of replacement. The PC is looking into costs. If you would like to contribute, donations of any size would be very much appreciated. Please contact the Clerk: clerk@hambledon-pc.gov.uk
